Casa Nannina has preserved the antique and authentic details of a classic country home, such as the hearth, the old-time centerpiece of the house.
The house has 6 rooms, all with en-suite baths and independent entrances, on two floors: three on the ground floor, which face the inner courtyard, and three on the upper floor, accessible by two flights of stairs.
The small reception area is at the top of the first set of stairs. Each room gives you the sensation of days gone by. We have chosen to keep the original characteristics of the building, adding on all necessary modern conveniences.
The furniture, the curtains, and the interior decorations are all made by hand by local artisans, and all beds have Memory Foam mattresses and pillows.
Breakfast is pre-packaged and you will find it in your room every day.
In each room:
The ground floor features three bedrooms that open onto the inner courtyard and a common yard with a comfortable seating area for guests.
Il Pozzo
Once upon a time, water was pulled up daily from the ancient well (now sealed). The room has a barrel vaulted ceiling and a high window that opens onto the yard. Although this room is the smallest in Casa Nannina, it is equipped with all comforts. A small outdoor space with a table and chairs is available for guests.
Capacity: 2 people (double bed).
La Legnaia
This was formerly the storage space for the wood that was used to fuel the hearth. The room has a traditional vaulted ceiling and a high window located above the entrance door. A small outdoor space with a table and chairs is available for guests.
Capacity: 2 people (double bed).
La Dispensa
This room, the coolest of the house, was used as the food pantry. Today it is a charming room with a stone arch and a vaulted ceiling. The window looks out over the courtyard. A small outdoor space with a table and chairs is available for guests.
Capacity: 2 + 2 people (double bed and two single beds).
Two flights of stairs bring you to the upper floor. From the courtyard, climbing the original stone staircase, you come first to the small reception area.
The second staircase leads to the remaining three rooms along a walkway which offers a breathtaking view of the Sorrento coast.
Il Ricamo
This was the room in which the women of the family did their embroidery. Today it is a double room outfitted with every possible comfort, with a classic vaulted ceiling and a window that looks out on the natural landscape.
Capacity: 2 people (double bed).
Il Riposo
Originally the master bedroom, with a high vaulted ceiling and a large panoramic window. From the smaller window in the unique arched shower, you can see the sea and the Capo di Sorrento.
Capacity: 2 + 2 people (double bed and two single beds).
Il Focolare
The original hearth – the typical cooking space of the past and now the symbol of our entire building – has been preserved along the wall. This space has been transformed into a welcoming double room. The windows frame an enchanting landscape that offers views of the steep hills and their picturesque houses, as well as the coastline with the Capo di Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples.
Capacity: 2 people (double bed).
